Established
in 1994 by Mary Woodward and Susan Greenholt, Greenwood brought
motivational dog training to Northern Delaware. Now teaching using
only positive reinforcement techniques, Greenwood will help you teach
your dog everything he needs to know to be a well mannered pet.
Their dog obedience classes are taught using the principles of behavior
modification through the use of positive reinforcement. This is a proven
scientific method which enhances the owner-canine bond and makes the
use of aversive methods such as choke collars unnecessary. Owners and
dogs enjoy their time spent training in classes which meet once a week
for an hour in a conveniently located, indoor training facility. This
gentle yet highly effective way of training is one of the things that
sets Greenwood Dog Training School apart from the rest.
Advanced classes are available for
those wanting extra responsiveness & dependability from their dogs
and are the next step for people interested in therapy dog work, dog
obedience competition, agility or Rally-O!
Susan and Mary welcome the brand new dog owner (and have lots of advice to share with them about housetraining,
etc.) as well as past graduates returning with their new puppies.
They also welcome more experienced owners who are interested in
training with this gentle, effective way.
Their graduates tell them that training
with Greenwood is fun, easy, and produces great results. See what
they have to say on the Student Comments page.
